The first print in world history, the Phaistos Disc (16 cm in diameter – clay), is an archaeological find from the Minoan city of Phaistos in southern Crete and is possibly dated to the 17th century BCE.
The creation of the artwork (mixed technique, dimensions 100×100) is inspired by the impeccably preserved Disc found in the palace of Phaistos, discovered buried in sand.
